Welcome to Melanin in America ("we," "us," "our"). By browsing this site or placing an order, you agree to the terms below. Please read them before you buy.
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are charged in full at checkout through our payment processor. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order — for example, if an item is mispriced or out of stock — and to correct any errors in pricing or product information.
The only exception: if your item arrives damaged or defective, contact us at melanininamerica@gmail.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number and a photo, and we'll make it right with a replacement of the same item where possible.
Our designs are original artwork created in-house and produced on stonewashed linen. Because each piece is made to order and printed individually, slight variations in color, placement, and texture are normal and are part of the character of the product — not a defect. Screen and monitor settings can also make colors appear differently than they do in person.
Unless the listing states otherwise, face-pillow products are sold as a pillow cover only. A pillow insert is available as an optional add-on at checkout.
Orders are processed and made to order, so please allow time for production before shipment. Delivery timelines are estimates provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed. Once an order ships, risk of loss passes to the carrier; we are not responsible for delays, misdelivery, or loss once a package leaves our hands, though we'll always help you file a claim where we can.
All artwork, designs, logos, text, and images on this site are the property of Melanin in America and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may not reproduce, resell, or use our designs for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Our products and this website are provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Melanin in America is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the item at issue.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Denver, Colorado.
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted to this page, and the "last updated" date above will reflect the most recent revision.
